Lauren Flinner is a filmmaker/visual artist based in Boston, Massachusetts. She has a BOA from Hampshire College, a post-baccalaureate certificate from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Experimental Animation from California Institute of the Arts. Her films have screened internationally. She aims to create work that questions assumptions about textual language, visual representation, and the social constructs these aspects of culture engender. She is currently a Teaching Artist with Artistic Noise and previously worked with CalArts Community Arts Partnership as a youth animation instructor and Citizen Artist Americorps Scholar.
